As Luck Would Have it by Robert D. San Souci, Illustrated by Daniel San Souci

I was gifted a copy of As Luck Would Have it by Robert D. San Souci, Illustrated by Daniel San Souci, in exchange for an honest review.
Love it!! Not only a great retelling of a Grimm Brothers story, but beautiful illustrations. Twins Jonas and Juniper are twins who are left at home while their parents go to visit Grandmother, who is very sick. They are told to take care of the house and not let the door out of sight. They are not home alone for long when a series of mishaps occur, and true to their words they do not let the door out of sight! I don’t remember hearing this story, and love the version with the bears, too adorable!
This IS a recommendation book. I know this book would fit wonderfully in a lesson about fairy tales. It would be a wonderful story book to read during story time for preschool students. It would be a great story starter for older grades as well. I do plan to add this version to my collection!
